Selecting Vorboss as your service provider is more than a business decision; it's a choice to support ethical practices and a commitment to doing business the right way.
Our recognition by the Sunday Times as one of the Best Places to Work in the UK and Best Places to Work for Women speaks volumes about our dedication to creating a positive workplace environment. We believe in taking care of our staff both mentally and physically, and in order to support this, we offer a range of benefits from private healthcare to 1:1 financial support (and many more).
Striving for gender balance
In an industry traditionally dominated by males, we have invested years in advancing gender diversity standards and making the built environment a more inclusive place for women. We create a welcoming environment for women out in the field by sourcing tools designed for women, finding uniforms sized for women, introducing period days, allowing part-time working patterns, and ensuring we have a welfare van out with teams each day. Now we have the most diverse fibre installation team in the industry; nearly 40% of our field-based installation team is women, and we are striving for gender balance across all job roles.
Shaping careers in telecoms
We hire from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. At the start of 2021, we launched The Vorboss Training Academy, a four-week intensive programme that takes people with no previous telecoms experience and teaches them everything they need to know to graduate as a Vorboss Installation Technician. We work with The ITP to recruit apprentices and trainees to join the academy, with 20 people joining the academy each month. This commitment to internal training means that our workforce is equipped with the latest skills and knowledge, enabling us to consistently deliver the best service.
